Golf GPS

A golf global positioning system gives the user a strong advantage of improving his or her game based on data provided by the unit. The Bushnell Yardage Pro GPS is an example of a golf GPS. The Yardage Pro is a simple device that measures the front, middle and back of the green. It comes equipped with an outdoor LCD screen with backlight and weather resistance. It also stores up to 10 different golf courses.
More advanced navigation devices for golf use include the Callaway uPro GO GPS. The Callaway comes preloaded with thousands of courses across the United States and Canada. Its full color screen shows a virtual green view with vivid detail and precise distances. In association with AnyPoint technology it allows the user to measure to and from any spot from around the green.
The Garmin Approach G3 Golf GPS is also preloaded with detailed maps with over 12,000 golf courses. The Garmin Approach features a 2.6 inch sunlight touchscreen and keeps score for up to 4 players. The waterproof unit opens up opportunities for manual pin positioning, shot distance measurements, up to 15 hours of battery life, high sensibility and touch targeting.
The Sonocaddie Golf GPS is another unit that comes preloaded with over 18,000 courses with no downloading needed. The larger full screen offers an entire shot of the hole layout at one glance. Multiple landing zone technology lets you see the distance for five front to back locations on the green. More maps can be added to the Sonocaddie with the simple USB cable to PC hookup. Sonocaddie comes with a rechargeable battery, belt clip, a built-in antennae, and is waterproof. After reviews of this unit, the Sonocaddie seems to hold its battery charge much better than other systems especially for 18 hole play.
